Well researched articles as well as reviews, interviews, field notes and artist portfolios are welcome from researchers, archaeologists, geologists, clay artists, potters, teachers, lecturers, art historians, art critics and all other practitioners interested in the science, art, history and criticism of ceramic materials, methods, theories and practice.
Articles should normally not exceed 20 pages (including references and appendixes) typed double-spaced on A4 paper and must be accompanied by an abstract of about 200 words succinctly capturing the main thesis of the paper, methods and results, as the case may be.
Field notes of between 5-10 pages are also welcome. Exhibition and book reviews should not exceed 5 pages. Interview lengths are flexible and can be discussed with the editors. Either of the APA or Chicago styles of documentation and referencing is acceptable. All Contributions are preferred by e-mail as attached file in MS Word sent to info@cpanjournalofceramics.com.ng (CC: may.okafor@unn.edu.ng).
A peer-review fee is normally charged per paper. Upon review and acceptance of paper, a publication fee is also charged to help towards production. On request, contributors are notified of current rates.
Each Contributor is entitled to one copy of the journal’s printed version in which his/her contribution appears. The material is also uploaded on the journal’s open-access website at cpanjournalofceramics.com.ng for wider visibility.
